Chancellor & Son Dublin Brass Aneroid Barometer of Irish Sailing Interest.


Interesting bit of Irish Sailing History, an aneroid barometer by Chancellor & Son, Dublin engraved on the face with Dublin Bay Sailing Club Burgee in centre, on left it says won by H. Kennedy. On right it is engraved Fodhla 1909. Fodhla was a Dublin Bay25 built for Viceroy Lord Dudley and presented to his crew when his Irish posting finished.
It is a quality barometer by Chancellor & Son,Sackville St,Dublin with a curved thermometer on the bottom half of the face, bevelled glass face and quality heavy brass case.
130mm diameter ,60mm depth.
